Celebration of Our Learning

We had a great day exploring how different vehicles move. We looked at the parts needed to create a moving mechanism and worked as a team to design and make our own royal themed carriage. (March 2026)

 

An exciting day was had by all! We had the opportunity to experience and develop some new skills during our SOLD day. We particularly enjoyed the archery and seeing how many points we could score. (March 2026)

We had a great time developing knowledge of minibeasts and their habitats. We met some wonderfully creepy creatures and enjoyed the opportunity to see them up close. (March 2026)

We had a very exciting visit from Robert Tregoning. We listened to him tell some of his stories and even had the opportunity to have a go at how to draw one of the characters!  (March 2026)

Year 2 had a great morning learning about the Easter story. We had great fun exploring the key parts of the story through craft, problem solving and music. (March 2026)

This week we have been developing our skills in net and wall games. We have been exploring different ways to pass the ball to one another, thinking about the space we are in, the distance we need the ball to go and the best pass to. (March 2026)

Year 2 had an amazing time at Windsor Castle, developing their learning on castles. We had a great time exploring the castle grounds, visiting the state rooms and especially being able to see the dolls house. We were lucky enough to attend a workshop on the history of Windsor Castle and got to re-enact an attack! (March 2026)

Year 2 have been busy preparing wormeries in Science, linking to our Generation restoration project.  We had great fun creating the wormery, thinking about what worms need to survive and making predictions about their favourite food. (February 2026)

In English, we have been reading the story 'Cinderboy.' We have made comparisons to the story of Cinderella and have been practising our story mapping skills! (February 2026)

This week, Year 2 have been busy learning about money. We have explored different coins and notes, thinking about which ones we would use to make different amounts. (February 2026)

Year 2 had a fantastic day at the FAST museum, developing our knowledge on the history of flight. (February 2026)

Year 2 recreated Pudding Lane with the Tudor houses they had made. The bakery shop where the Great Fire of London began was set on fire and the children watched as the fire spread between the houses (November 2025)
