Travel Plan

The Potters Gate Travel Plan is all about finding ways to reduce the number of car journeys to and from school.
Let’s all walk, cycle and scoot to school as much as we can.

  • It helps us stay healthy - Physical exercise is a great way to start the day and it will help us sleep better at night

  • It’s fun! - We can spot interesting things on the way to school and get to know our neighbourhood

  • It’s planet friendly - Walking, cycling or scooting to school even 2 or 3 times a week can make a big difference to CO2 emissions

  • It helps us to learn - We will arrive at school refreshed, happy and ready to start the day

  • We get more family time - We can spend some quality time with our family without screens

  • We will learn about road safety - We will get more confident crossing the road

  • It means less traffic on the roads - The roads around school will be safer with fewer cars and no hunting for a parking space

  • Everyone can do it - No special equipment required!
